Sandra Mitchell Davey AISTD Dip Life member, ID Dance Contemporary

 (Principal)

 

Sandra has 25 years teaching experience - an innovative choreographer who loves to nurture and encourage pupils to "own" their dancing. She trained at the highly acclaimed Laine Theatre Arts, completing the full professional dancers and teachers 3 year course. After another 3 years dancing professionally, she moved on to teaching, found her niche and received many choreographic awards nationally at All England competitions, Eisteddfods, the prestigious ISTD Janet Cram Awards and Festival of Festivals.

 

She has taught at Elmhurst Ballet School, Arts Educational School Chiswick, as well as many schools in South London/Hampshire. Her previous students have appeared or are appearing in West End productions - "Fame", "West Side Story", "Lion King", "Phantom of the Opera", "Billy Eliot", "42nd street", "Wicked", "We Will Rock You", "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", "Mary Poppins","Mamma Mia"; and TV's "So You Think You Can Dance", Matthew Bourne's "Swan Lake", Estonian Ballet Company, Romanian Ballet Company and many more worldwide.

 

She specialises in 1 to 1 training and student/professional training aiming for the best possible technical standard as well as having fun!

Amanda Salmon - Vocal/singing/musical theatre coach

Amanda is from Yorkshire and trained at the Italia Conti Academy in London.

On graduating she made her Professional Debut playing the lead role of Pearl in Starlight Express at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London. Her other Theatre credits include; Eponine in Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre London, Sophie in Mamma Mia at The Prince Edward Theatre, London Sandy in Grease at The Royal Albert Hall and the The Scandinavian Arena Tour, Linda in Blood Brothers at the Pheonix Theatre London.

Amanda created the role of Chrissie in Teen Scream which was written by the Heather Brothers and premiered at The Theatre Royal in Lincoln and then continued to the Edinburgh Festival.

The UK tour of Hello Dolly alongside Darren Day & Anita Dobson playing the Role of Minnie Fay.

Amanda has toured throughout England and Europe with various shows including Hold Tight It’s 60’s /70’s Night, The Wonderful West End and various concerts in aid of numerous charities.

Television Credits include; Janie in The King Of Hearts (channnel 4), Live at the London Palladium with Bruce Forsythe playing Eponine in Les Miserables (ITV), The Royal Variety Show at The Dominion Theatre, Pebble Mill (BBC) and various appearences on Children in Need.

Cast recordings include; Janie in the contempory opera The King Of Hearts, The Voice in Named Nursery a childrens storytelling CD, The Spoon in Hey Diddle Diddle written by Micheal Bruce.

Amanda has performed in many pantomimes over the years including playing the role of Wendy in First Familys spectacular production of Peter Pan along side Henry Winkler.

Tinkerbell in PeterPan On Rollerskates & most recently playing the Role of the Witch in Beauty & the Beast in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

Amanda performed at London’s 02 arena in the spectacular Les Miserables 25th Anniversary show alongside Lea Salonga and Nick jonas infront of 14,000 people.

Amanda is currently performing up & down the country with various musical theatre shows.
